If Phil E. Moose is indeed voted as the next Sixers mascot, it is this writer’s unprofessional opinion that he will be the next greatest mascot in the city to the Phanatic. The other two are uninspired and seem to be given no thought at all. This is the time to bring the Moose to the Sixers. I’m voting as such.

In the shadow of the lockout, Sixers braise rabbit mascot
Leave it to the Philly sports fans to boo their way out of this one.
Taking a break from hostage negotiations with Andy Reid, the abrasive lords of the lewd and crude focused on driving another nuisance out of town.
After their countless vulgar emails, taunting tweets, and snowball covered batteries, the Sixers gave in to fan pleas, and declined the club option on the team’s mascot, Hip Hop.
A New Dawn for the Sixers
The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the most storied franchises in the history of the NBA. When you speak of the league’s history you speak of them in the same breath as the Lakers and the Celtics. It’s been a while since we’ve had the pleasure unfortunately.
During the reign of Comcast-Spectacor we saw an ownership that quickly brushed the team aside in order to focus on the other team that occupied the Spectrum/Wells Fargo Center. Now this is not a diss on the Flyers and every Philadelphian should cheer on their future success. The Sixers were very much ignored though by the ownership. The product deteriorated and so did the support.
Cheers to you, Howard Eskin
At a birthday party on Sunday, my 1 year old son Chase picked up a shovel to play with in a backyard sandbox, when from underneath a cockroach scampered. Chase stumbled back, pointed at it with candid toddler horror, and said, “yucky.”
In a twist of irony, on Friday morning when Chase was sitting on my lap watching the Cowboys/Broncos highlights from the night before, I pointed to the screen and told him, “Cowboys yucky,” repeating slowly until he comprehended.
He recited it with perfection and turned around to meet my approval. I flashed a satisfied grin.
That’s my boy.
Iguodala Trade Rumors…
Its been about 3 weeks ago, since we last talked about Andre Iguodala and trade rumors. At that time, speculation broke out that talks were happening for a trade between the Sixers and the Golden State Warriors’ Monta Ellis. Time went by, and the rumors calmed down, and as of now the potential swap for the two players look more dead then ever.
Well last night the rumors stirred up again for Iguodala, this time involving two other teams.
